Recommendations please?
I need to find a good glaze for my charms and miniatures. The stuff I’ve been experimenting with isn’t doing what I want it to. I need something that will dry hard and clear, but be flexible and thin enough to work with pieces with teeny details. Everything I’ve been reading about is really mixed on what to use, and is also mostly geared for beads or jewelry and not sculpture or miniatures. Anyone got some recommendations for me?
Q:your marceline sculpture is amazing!! :D
Thank you :D
Q:um hiii!!! i love ur works!!! i wanted to know if u have an etsy shop o something like it!!
I don’t…yet! I literally just started doing this about a month ago, so I’m still sort of learning and getting things figured out. My ultimate goal is to sell stuff, but I still need to figure out how I’m going to do that. I plan to get things set up for that pretty soon, so please stay tuned :)
Oh my glob she’s finally done…
Sorry it took so long! Skyward Sword just sort of took over my life for a bit.
Materials: Super Sculpey, 22 gauge copper wire, tin foil, acrylic paint, clear fixative.
Time: 6-8 hours sculpting, 6-8 hours painting and detailing.
Size: Roughly 6 inches long, 3 inches tall.
Not sure if I want to give her a glazed finish or not. She’ll be up for sale in one way or another once I decide!
Progress!
Sorry, real life is balls. I’ll finish this soon…ish.
It’s a bomb!
I just haven’t had the combination of time or energy to paint my big project in the last few days, sorry! I should be able to get it done soon, though.
Anyway, have something Zelda related instead! I’m so hyped for Skyward Sword that I can’t even contain myself.
Super Sculpey and acrylics.
Baked and rockin!
Just needs some paint. Hopefully I can get to that tomorrow.
Taking another break. So close to done, but my eyes are about to fall out and make gross sounds when they land on my desk.
Just some smoothing, structure for the arms, and little details left—and details on the axe bass.
Poor Gunter seems to be cursed for me. I’ve tried to make him twice. My cat broke Gunter #1 while he was being painted. Gunter #2 kind of collapsed onto himself when he was baking and turned into a hideous freak of sculpey nature. Hopefully Gunter #3 doesn’t suffer a similar fate. I’ll certainly try to make him in my next batch.
